This is a random shot from a walk yesterday afternoon. The pine cone just happened to catch my eye, sitting up as it was in the tunnel through the tree’s branches. Just a bit of post-processing was done to bump up the brightness and contrast. I also added a slight amount of vibrancy and saturation.
Finding shots like this is one reason I try to keep my camera (DSLR, not iPhone) close at hand. You never know when you might see something to shoot. If you leave and come back later it is never the same. Mostly it’s about changes in light, but other things can change too. I never come back to the same image. That doesn’t stop me. Sometimes it gets better, but the original scene is always lost. That’s just the way it is, and why I like capturing images. They are now.
This will probably be added to my Lightstock portfolio.
